raternity brothers are eclectic and both sides of the boarder.  Wisconsinites mingle freely on Minnesota soil.  I sat down just in time to see nervous eyed Carlos Gomez bat lead off.

The Minnesota twins are 8-0 when they score more than 10 runs.  I wish I could except that every night.  If the team hit like Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau I could expect it but unfortunately we have 7 other batters in the line up.

even expected that a man of caliber would stoop to such depths.  No playing campaign with the Minnesota Vikings will validate your 16 year career with the Green Bay Packers.  Unless you join the Vikings and go undefeated for the next two seasons, the Packers are never going to believe they made the wrong decision.

Turning on Sportscenter and seeing a Twins story mentioned brightens my day.  It reminds Minnesotans that we are not forgotten in the quiet AL Central.  It’s good when they talk about our winning and not just the new stadium.  That stadium will make us famous next year regardless of our record.

Suddenly the Metrodome doesn’t seem so ugly or cold when Nathan is pitching.  The Minnesotan accents retreat and we start to sound a little like New Yorkers;  over confident and coarse.  Our nice is replaced with cocky.

Does anyone believe the Minnesota Vikings wouldn't be better with Brett Favre?  Of course some do but I don't, his pre-madonna motivation to reign the Vikings to a Superbowl simply to spite his former GM is going to carry him far enough.  That type of attitude isn't for the Vikings.  We need a team made of selfless leaders and selfish role players.  Our Quarterback Tavaris Jackson needs to simply develop himself as a passer, stop trying to be a runner, and become a leader.  Our wide receivers need to stop being scared and get hungry.  The fear of being hit isn't enough for them to run fast, the motivation should be the touchdown.  The end zone dance should be their highlight.

the win was the start of Minnesota's current 5-2 run. Back on MNF, the Saints helped the Vikings again by downing the Packers 51-29 to get above .500 at 6-5 and are back to within two games of NFC South leaders Carolina and Tamba Bay (8-3).

Well the ongoing soap opera involving the sports world's biggest self indulgent drama queen has just gotten more convoluded and sickening. I think it was two months ago that I heard Brett "win or lose its still all about me" Favre was backtracking on his blubbering, rambling retirement speech and he now wanted to play again. Then I heard that the Packers said they were moving on,,,without him, so he would have to play else where if he wanted to play again. Then the speculation began. Where would he end up? What would be the best fit? ESPN.com even broke down each team based on its needs and what Favre could bring to the team. My Vikings were near the top. I gagged quite a bit at the notion.

Well, folks, the 2008-2009 NFL season is creeping upon us, and the Minnesota Vikings still do not have that number one quarterback. Sure, Brad Childress will say that Tavaris is his man, but as any Viking fan will tell you, his performance over the last two seasons has been less-than-stellar. Although the young quarterback has only started one full season, the

It's about that time again, the time of year where every NFL fanatic gets to sit on their couch for hours on end and literally stare blankly at a ticking clock. Yet for some reason it's replaced christmas as the best day of the year for real NFL fans. Last year the draft santa was kind to Vikings fans as we awoke to find an Adrian Peterson under the tree. This years draft doesn't look to provide a gift quite as exciting as the NFL offensive rookie of the year in 2007 but there's no doubt this is one of the most important drafts for the Vikes in quite awhile.

Welcome, Minnesota Viking fans, to the heart of darkness.  There is no light at the end of this tunnel.  No pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.  Just pain, misery, heartbreak and 8-8 seasons.  If you tune in to this blog, you will come to know how my 35 years of existence on this earth have been tainted by my fandom, by a blind loyalty to a team than tantalizes, that teases, that brings you to the brink of ectasy, and then brings you crashing to the earth like a Chris Kluwe punt.
